A large and in-charge timepiece, the Invicta Men's 1531 Subaqua Collection Chronograph Watch is an excellent way to get noticed. This deluxe timepiece begins with a round 50mm stainless steel case with an 18k gold ion-plated unidirectional bezel and a golden protected crown with two pushers. These elements surround a dashing black dial, which is protected by a flame-fusion crystal and features luminous dot hour markers and luminous gold-toned hands powered by Swiss quartz movement. The dial also features three chronograph sub-dials offering 60-second, 30-minute and 1/10th-of-a-second displays and a date display window between the 4 and 5 'o clock positions. A black silicone band straps this watch to the wrist, while a gold-toned buckle clasp ensures its secure placement. Finally, this watch boasts water resistance up to 330 feet (100 meters). A sporty statement of function and fashion, this Invicta timepiece is speaking loud and clear.

I'll start with saying that I'm glad they include an image here of this watch on an arm so as to display it's proportion accurately, because this watch is LARGE. When my husband and I first unwrapped the packaging (which is very nice, I have to say, and speaks to the quality of this company) our eyes bugged out and we both were surprised with the size and weight of this watch. Since then, it's already begun to grow on both of us. It actually looks very good on my husband, who is tall and lean but large-boned. This is definitely a masculine watch, and I think that it looks both sporty and classy at the same time. Neither my husband or I are big on gold jewelry, but the dual tone of this watch is versatile and just right. The gold has a very nice tone, it's not a really yellow gold, but a more subtle hue. I struggled to write this review, because I simply am not the body type that can pull off wearing this watch. It is huge and in your face. It also weighs a ton. I'm pretty sure that I could use it for self-defense, but then I'd get charged for menacing with a deadly weapon.Don't get me wrong, it is a nice looking watch and it seems to be very well made. It is presented well in the box and it appears to keep very accurate time. However, you need to be big boned and not need to have tight fitting shirts around your wrist. When I found that this watch wouldn't work for me, I proceeded to attempt to gift it to two different people that I know who wear watches (even fairly large ones). Both people kindly told me that it wasn't their style, so I've still got it and am still looking for somebody to give it to. This is a very well made watch and it does perform well and is easy to use, but it is very large and must meet your taste and size. Picture accurately represents the style, but it just does not capture the size of the watch. Don't get me wrong, it is not really any bigger than most multi-function fancy watch, but it is bigger than the average watch. |
